NCS Heritage 1 Traditional

We finished lesson 3 (第三課) and practiced 感謝歌 today. We will have a quiz for lesson 3 next week. Homework: workbook (作業本) page 19, 20, 21, 22 practice writing all 7 words we learned today in that small green workbook: 上、中、下、大、小、手、力 practice and understand the meaning of the phrases on page 28 of the textbook. memorize “12 months” in both Chinese and English (see attached)

Homework: read page 24 & 25 memorize page 25 “一年有幾個月 ” and understand the meaning . I will quiz them next week. You can use 美洲華語 website to help them practicing: http://www.mzchinese.org/ write their Chinese name in that green workbook. print out (check email I sent) and practice 感謝歌（NCS school song) https://youtu.be/Y84VZCaVhF8?si=A9Mx4UUAai7WRLY7 For example: 周牧欣， write 周 in the 1st column all the way down 。 牧 in the 2nd column all the way down。 欣 in the 3rd column all the way down. Overall, they all did a pretty good job listening and participating in the class today. I hope they can continue to practice reading and get familiar with 注音。 Jane

We went through class rules, class expectations, Zhuyin and some basics today. Expectations & Homework: I gave every student a paper today with 7 questions. The student need to answer the questions in Chinese. If they can answer in sentences that would be great. The student need to practice reading the questions and their answers smoothly . I will call them up to share their answers next week. If the student does not know how to write their Chinese name , they will need to practice writing their Chinese names in the green work book they received today. Have the student practice reading textbook page 24 & 25 (Lesson 3 ). We will start lesson 3 next week. Please make sure the student bring their text book (第一冊課本 ）and workbook (第一冊作業本) every time they come to the class. Please use a binder for the workbook. Let me know if you have any questions.
